Began May 2nd, 1656. It would fail almost immediately (within three days), resulting in the deaths of many Troyzantium loyalists and an uncounted number of ruined pork products. Unfortunately for the insurrectionists, their plot was uncovered when one of the king's chefs happened upon the pamphlet “On The Curing of Exemplary Meats,” published in 1655. He declared that it was such an extraordinary piece of nonsense as to defy belief. He took it to a general, who agreed that it was unlikely that one would salt pork using nightingale urine. The uprising's name is derived from the pamphlet.
